Imperial Wharf Jazz Festival 2009

Thursday 17th September 2009

"The Imperial Wharf's free, al fresco jazz festival returns for another year, with a splendid opening night of jazz and R&B.  Topping the bill tonight is bright young saxophone talent Brown, whose music is an accessible, Sanborn-ish mix of classic jazz tones with a twist of R&B and funk. Clint's double bass playing son Kyle opens things with his own cool brand of swinging modal jazz, laced with hip catchy melodies and funk-edged grooves."  Timeout London

Saturday 19th September 2009

"Day two of this ace all day jazz fest with an admirably broad selection of sounds highlights of which today includes massively danceable Latin and Caribbean outfit Ska Cubano. Neil Cowley's punchy piano trio extraordinaire bring their micro-melodic masterpieces to the party while both Shaw and Gillespie add their dazzling vocals to the mix. And don't miss wonderful Brit jazz piano veteran Tracey in the afternoon." Timeout London
