Imperial Park & Sensory Gardens

Welcome to Imperial Park, the first new riverside public park of its size to be completed in London for many years.  Featuring a tree-lined avenue, extensive grassed areas, formal planting, boating pond and children's play areas, Imperial Park contributes to over 10 acres of landscaped parkland at Imperial Wharf, leading visitors to the river walkway and the Sensory Gardens.

The Sensory Gardens are designed to stimulate the senses and offer a feeling of enclosure, texture and interest at all times of the year.  Divided into three uniquely planned spaces dedicated to the senses of Aroma, Sight and Touch, the Sensory Garden is an ever-welcoming haven of calm.  Here you can rest, reflect and relax amid a captivating array of foliage and features chosen to heighten and enhance each sensory theme.  Each of the three quadrangles is complemented by low hedging, a grassed area for picnicking and ornamental trees such as the Eucalyptus and the Himalayan Birch.
